Restore, Rejuvenate and Resurface Your Skin with Laser Treatments

Even the most cared for skin will show signs of aging. Over time its color and texture will change. Laser treatments can lessen the appearance of aging on your face, neck, chest, arms, and hands.

Laser treatments vary based on the type of correction needed for a specific skin condition or skin type. Some of the most common skin laser treatments include:

  • Ablative Resurfacing Lasers: Focus on the outer layer of skin, creating micro-wounds on the
surface. Recovery is anywhere between 7-10 days.
  • Non-Ablative Lasers: Heats the skin tissue but does not remove it. The laser passes safely
through the outer layer of skin, penetrating the tissue lying beneath. Recovery is as few as 3-5 days.
  • Fractionated Lasers: Treats only part of the skin and doesn’t remove all the skin like “old” lasers.
This reduces downtime and results in less risk of scarring. Recovery time is also significantly reduced because the laser penetrates the skin in micro-pinpoints, not large sweeping areas. Fractionated lasers include:

  • Alexandrite Laser: Uses a green light to create a wavelength that penetrates a red spectrum.
Treats blood vessels, unwanted hair, tattoos, and hyperpigmentation.
  • Intense Pulse Light (IPL): Generates a wavelength of Intense Pulsed Light to penetrate both red
and brown pigment. It is used to treat red and brown discoloration on the skin.
  • Nd:Yag/Q-Switched Yag: Uses a crystal to produce near infrared light to reduce the appearance
of brown spots and treat unwanted hair and tattoos.
  • Pulsed Dye Laser: Reduces redness on the skin.
  • Q-Switched Laser: Uses short pulses of intense light to treat discolorations in the skin and tattoo removal.
  • Picosecond Laser: Uses short pulses of high intensity light to remove tattoos and treat skin
    discoloration.
