What Can CO2RE Treat?
Collagen, which is responsible for strong and flexible skin and tissue, breaks down as we age. Time, trauma, and the sun’s ultraviolet radiation all play a role in this breakdown, as do other variables that cause changes in the skin. Because of these factors, older skin tends to be thinner, less elastic, and looser due to loss of collagen and other important molecules. Dry, brittle, and lax skin leads to tone and texture irregularities we associate with an aged face.
CO2RE can increase collagen levels, causing the skin’s texture to improve. Similar to adding fresh air to a slightly deflated and wrinkled balloon, the surface will appear smoother and healthier. This addresses fine lines and wrinkles and improves tone. The influx of collagen can also reduce the severity of acne scars, as well most types of surgical and burn scars.
How Does CO2RE Work?
CO2RE is a laser device, so it emits focused light energy that is absorbed by the targeted tissue. This generates heat, which triggers a healing response. In the skin, this healing consists of soft-tissue-fiber remodeling, as well as the formation of new collagen molecules and fibers to provide strength, support, and flexibility.
