Elisabeth Hurliman, MD
Dr. Elisabeth Hurliman is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon who practices cosmetic and procedural dermatology and also sees patients for skin cancer screens and skin exams at Zel Skin & Laser Specialists.
She hails from Germany originally but calls Minneapolis her second home. She earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology in Germany and graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School and Graduate School with MD and PhD degrees. She completed a residency in Neurology prior to her residency training in Dermatology at the University of Minnesota and spent an additional ACGME approved fellowship year in Mohs surgery, Cutaneous Oncology, and Procedural Dermatology at University of Minnesota. She continues to remain active in research, presents regularly at conferences, participates in national
committees, and mentors junior dermatologists, residents and medical students.
Dr. Hurliman’s expertise includes all aspects of facial rejuvenation including injectable neuromodulators, soft-tissue fillers, KYBELLA® for double chin treatment, and lasers and light based devices.
Dr. Hurliman believes changes in the skin have a special impact on each person, and she seeks to empower her patients to look and feel their best while providing them with the care she would like her family and friends to receive.
She focuses on proven treatments that deliver predictable results and regularly participates in educational events to learn about emerging therapies so she can offer her patients the most current standard of care. Her training background
has given her a unique knowledge of the face and its underlying structures and their function, which helps her to achieve natural rejuvenation results.
She lives in Minneapolis with her husband, daughter, and their three cats (yes, three!). In her free time, she loves to travel, spend time with family and friends, go horseback riding and is active in charitable organizations in the
