Softer, Smoother, More Radiant Skin with Microdermabrasion

Softening the appearance of your fine lines, uneven skin tone, and skin texture through non-invasive treatments is a great way to maintain your skin.  With microdermabrasion, you can treat these conditions and even some forms of acne.  In addition, microdermabrasion stimulates the production of new skin cells and collagen, improving circulation and leading to a healthy glow.

This exfoliating treatment uses either very fine crystals or a mildly abrasive metal tip to gently remove the outermost layer of skin.   Microdermabrasion can be used on all skin colors and types and is an excellent treatment option for those who are pregnant, breast-feeding, or whose skin does not tolerate chemical peels.

A variation of microdermabrasion is the HydraFacial, which also uses specially designed exfoliating, hydrating, and infusing tips combined with topical serums to exfoliate your skin. This treatment is customized to your skin type by a medical esthetician to provide the best in nourishment and care for your skin needs.

What to Expect from a Microdermabrasion Treatment

The procedures takes about 30-45 minutes.  You can expect very little, if any, discomfort with some patients reporting only a mild scratching sensation. Upon completion, your skin may feel taut and you may experience some redness, but, these mild side effects usually go away within a few hours. Your skin will be more sensitive to the sun than usual so it’s best to be more generous with your sun protection. For best results, we recommend microdermabrasion treatments at 4-6 week intervals.
