Look Good and Feel Good Too with Dermal Fillers

As you age, you may notice unwanted wrinkles or less volume in your face.  With dermal fillers you can lift and fill out the skin to create a smoother, more supple appearance, which reduces wrinkles and helps reshape and enhance your face.

Fillers can be used alone or in combination with other facial rejuvenation procedures, such as laser skin resurfacing and chemical peels. Some fillers are even used to minimize acne or other depressed scars and to augment and reshape your chin, cheeks and lips.

Your Skin is Too Important to Leave to Chance

At Zel Skin & Laser Specialists, we offer several kinds of dermal fillers. All are safe, proven effective, and are non–allergenic, so no pretreatment skin tests are necessary. Our licensed medical staff will evaluate your needs and discuss with you which filler is right for you.  Our fillers include:

  • Juvederm Ultra/Juverderm Ultra Plus: These products consist of hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in your body. Juvederm Ultra is used for fine lines and wrinkles, while Juverderm Ultra Plus is used for deeper folds and wrinkles.
  • Restylane: This product is made with a biodegradable hyaluronic acid gel that is fully biocompatible with human hyaluronic acid. It corrects moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, including the nasolabial folds that run from your nose to the corners of your mouth.
  • Voluma: This is another hyaluronic acid injectable facial filler. It temporarily restores volume to your mid-face to fill out wrinkles around your nose and on your cheeks.
  • Radiesse: This filler consists of very tiny calcium hydroxylapatite particles suspended in a smooth biocompatible carboxymethylcellulose gel. It helps to smooth out a variety of facial wrinkles, including deep facial folds and creases and minimizes depressed scars. Because it lasts so long, Radiesse is also used for reshaping your chin, cheeks and lips.

What to Expect from Your Dermal Filler Treatment

Dermal filler treatments involve injecting the filler into the skin with an ultrafine needle. A topical or local anesthetic is sometimes used to control any discomfort during the injections. You can return to your normal activities immediately after treatment. Mild swelling or redness may linger at the injection site for one to two days.

Like all Zel Skin & Laser Specialist procedures, we’ve conducted internal research to prove the effectiveness of a treatment.  We invite you to view our before and after pictures and call to schedule your dermal filler consultation today!
